New research by doctors and dentist have discovered that your jaw and it's proper alignment can have a great impact upon your health. The joint where your jaw and the bone meet is composited of muscles and ligaments. This is called the tempromandibular joint or TMJ for short.
This joint if misaligned has been discovered to be the cause of numerous ailments. Most of the problems arising from TMJ have not been directly evident. The symptoms are less likely to be 'jaw' related and more likely one of the following:
This seems to be caused primarily by one's structural development. Being genetic in nature, it may have a family history but more like it's caused by abnormal development of the jaw.
The best course of action is to have the TMJ realigned if it's improper function is discovered. This may involve both the work of a dentist and a doctor of chiropractic if the fit of teeth is causing a misalignment. If the fit of the jaw itself is the problem you'll probably have the realignment done by the Chiropractor.
